Secured J.P. Morgan's investment banking graduate programme!

As an international student, I knew getting into investment banking in the UK would be competitive. One of my biggest concerns was understanding which graduate schemes would consider candidates needing sponsorship and how to give myself the best possible chance. What I found particularly useful about Hiring Blueprint was the structured approach. Rather than applying to every finance graduate scheme, I was able to focus on opportunities that suited my background and understand what employers were assessing. Tariq also helped me prepare for the interview stages, particularly explaining my motivation for investment banking and presenting my experience more confidently. I'm so happy to have secured a place in J. P. Morgan's Corporate & Investment Bank graduate programme.

Barclays Capital Markets graduate offer secured

I was applying for graduate schemes in banking but found it difficult knowing which ones were genuinely realistic for international applicants. Just because a company sponsors visas doesn't necessarily mean every graduate programme is open to candidates who need sponsorship.

Tariq helped me become much more selective with my applications and understand how to approach the different recruitment stages.

The interview preparation was particularly helpful. We worked on how to explain my interest in capital markets, demonstrate commercial awareness and give stronger examples when answering competency questions.

I eventually received an offer for the Barclays Capital Markets graduate programme.

Really pleased with the result. Having proper guidance made the whole process much easier to navigate.

Got an SDE offer from Amazon after struggling with my UK job search

Finding a software engineering role in the UK as an international candidate was much harder than I'd expected. I was spending so much time on applications and technical preparation, but I wasn't always sure whether the positions I was targeting were realistic from a sponsorship perspective. What helped was having a clearer strategy instead of just applying wherever I saw a software engineering vacancy. Tariq helped me look more carefully at employers, role suitability and how I was presenting my experience. I could then focus more of my time on relevant opportunities while continuing my technical interview preparation. I'm really happy to have secured a Software Development Engineer role at Amazon.

I genuinely thought I'd have to give up on finding a job in the UK

When I first moved to the UK, I spent months applying for finance roles without getting anywhere. I had no UK experience, and finding employers willing to consider international candidates made things even harder. I was getting rejection after rejection and honestly started questioning whether I'd ever find a job here. I came across Hiring Blueprint and decided to give Tariq a chance as a last resort. I wasn't very hopeful because nothing else had worked. Within two months, I had an interview for a Finance Business Partner position at Sysco. Tariq prepared me thoroughly, including the questions I was likely to face and how to structure my answers using my experience.

Months of NHS rejections, then 3 interviews and 2 offers!

I'd been applying for NHS diagnostic radiography roles for months and wasn't getting a single interview. I had the qualifications and relevant experience, but clearly something wasn't working with my applications.

After joining Hiring Blueprint, Tariq helped me understand how to approach NHS applications more effectively, particularly how to demonstrate my experience against the requirements of each position instead of relying on my qualifications alone.

Within just two months, I received three interview invitations and secured two job offers!

It was honestly such a relief after months of getting nowhere. Having two offers to choose from was something I couldn't have imagined when I first started applying. I'm so grateful for the support.

Finally secured an underwriting role in London!

I found it quite difficult navigating the UK insurance job market, especially when trying to understand which underwriting opportunities would realistically consider candidates who required sponsorship.

There were plenty of vacancies advertised, but it wasn't always clear whether the employer would sponsor or whether the position was suitable for my circumstances.

Working with Tariq helped me approach the search more strategically. Instead of treating every underwriting vacancy as an opportunity, we focused on identifying suitable roles and positioning my experience around what employers were actually looking for.

I've now secured an underwriting position in the Lloyd's insurance market, which I'm incredibly pleased about.

Thank you Tariq for the support and for helping me approach things with more direction.

Secured a Senior PMO Analyst role at Accenture

One of my biggest frustrations was having relevant project experience but struggling to find UK opportunities that matched both my background and sponsorship requirements. I was applying to PMO and project-related positions, but the job titles and expectations varied so much between companies. I wasn't always sure whether I was targeting the right level. Tariq helped me take a more focused approach. We looked at how to position my project delivery experience, highlight the level of responsibility I'd held and target roles that were a better match. The biggest difference for me was having a strategy rather than constantly changing my CV and hoping something would work.

From constant applications to a Risk Analyst offer at Monzo

I was targeting risk and financial services positions but found the UK job market quite difficult to navigate, especially with sponsorship being something I needed to consider. I'd seen plenty of banks and fintech companies on the sponsor register, but that didn't mean they were necessarily willing to sponsor the specific roles I was applying for. I was wasting time on applications without really knowing whether they were viable. What I appreciated about Hiring Blueprint was the practical approach. Tariq helped me think more carefully about which roles matched my experience and how to present my skills in a way that was relevant to risk teams. I've now secured a Risk Analyst position at Monzo, which I'm really excited about.

Landed a Growth & Analytics role at Uber!!

I was trying to move into growth and analytics but honestly found it overwhelming deciding which roles to focus on. I was also looking for employers that could potentially offer sponsorship, which made the search even more complicated. One thing I learned was that applying to companies with sponsor licences wasn't enough. I needed to understand whether the actual role was suitable and how to communicate my experience for that position. Tariq helped me narrow down my target roles and think more strategically about how to present my analytical experience, rather than using the same approach for completely different jobs. I'm now joining Uber in a Growth & Analytics role, and I'm so excited! Really grateful for the support.

The Method Behind The Outcomes

Behind Every Outcome Is a Strategy.

Getting hired is not simply about sending more applications. It is about understanding what employers want, knowing where to focus and preparing effectively.

Case Studies

How Our Framework Works in Practice

Every candidate faces different challenges. Here is how we identify what is holding them back, develop a targeted strategy and turn that strategy into action.

Experienced Professionals

Strong Experience. No Interviews. Here is What Changes.

An experienced candidate can have the right skills and still hear nothing back. The problem is rarely the experience itself.

01 The Challenge

An experienced candidate has relevant skills but receives few interviews. Their CV lists responsibilities instead of achievements, applications are generic and job targeting is too broad.

02 Our Strategy

  1. • Diagnose application problems

Review previous applications and target roles to identify the real gaps holding the candidate back, rather than sending more of the same.

  2. • Reposition experience

Create targeted CV versions based on suitable job families, relevant skills and quantified achievements.

  3. • Improve job targeting

Prioritise appropriate vacancies instead of applying broadly to every opening.

  4. • Strengthen applications and interviews

Improve application quality, introduce tracking and provide interview preparation.

03 The Difference

Clearer positioning, stronger alignment with employer requirements and a more focused recruitment strategy.

Takeaway: “More applications are not always the answer. Better positioning and targeting can make the difference.”

Graduate & Early Careers

Competitive Graduate Schemes Require More Than Good Grades.

Strong academics are only the starting point. Graduate recruitment rewards candidates who understand what each employer is actually assessing.

01 The Challenge

Strong graduate candidates struggle with competitive application processes, online assessments, video interviews, competency questions and assessment centres. They may also miss important recruitment deadlines.

02 Our Strategy

  1. • Identify appropriate graduate programmes

Match the candidate to programmes that fit their strengths and career goals.

  2. • Understand recruitment stages

Research employer expectations and the competencies each stage assesses.

  3. • Develop genuine competency examples

Build authentic STAR examples and commercial awareness, not rehearsed scripts.

  4. • Prepare for assessments and interviews

Provide mock interviews, assessment preparation and structured feedback.

  5. • Plan around graduate recruitment cycles

Create a clear application timetable so deadlines are not missed.

03 The Difference

Better preparation, clearer communication of strengths and a structured approach to competitive graduate recruitment.

Takeaway: “Graduate recruitment success requires more than academic achievement. Preparation and understanding employer expectations matter.”

UK Visa Sponsorship

A Sponsor Licence Does Not Mean Every Job Can Be Sponsored.

This is where general advice tends to fail. Sponsorship depends on the specific vacancy, not just the employer.

01 The Challenge

International candidates waste months applying to employers on the Home Office sponsor register without considering whether the particular vacancy can realistically offer Skilled Worker sponsorship. A sponsor licence alone does not establish that a specific vacancy is eligible or that an employer will sponsor it.

02 Our Strategy

  1. 01 Occupation eligibility

Assess actual job duties against the relevant Skilled Worker occupation codes and current skill eligibility rules. Do not assume a role qualifies because of its title.

  2. 02 Salary requirements

Evaluate the advertised salary against applicable general salary thresholds and occupation-specific going rates, including relevant legally permitted exceptions.

  3. 03 New entrant provisions

Consider whether the candidate meets applicable new entrant provisions, without assuming eligibility merely because someone previously held a Graduate visa.

  4. 04 Employer sponsorship behaviour

Go beyond the sponsor register to research vacancy-specific sponsorship policies, historical sponsorship evidence, recruitment restrictions, job seniority and employer willingness to sponsor that type of role.

  5. 05 Opportunity screening and prioritisation

Classify roles by suitability, eligibility and sponsorship likelihood, then prioritise genuinely viable opportunities.

  6. 06 Targeted applications and interview preparation

Build suitable CVs, tailor applications, use structured outreach and prepare candidates for interviews and sponsorship discussions.

03 The Difference

Candidates move from applying to any licensed sponsor to identifying roles that are more realistically aligned with occupation eligibility, salary rules, employer willingness and their own experience.

Takeaway: “A sponsor licence tells you an employer has permission to sponsor workers. It does not mean every vacancy is eligible or that the employer will sponsor you.”

Hiring Blueprint provides recruitment and career coaching, not regulated immigration advice. Eligibility depends on current immigration rules and individual circumstances.
